The gold in the ground

Akoko holds 210,430 ounces of gold in its resource. This page puts a range on what those ounces could add to the company's backing, and shows how the gold and bitcoin prices move it, next to what the market pays for the company today.

Scenarios, not forecasts. Every figure here is arithmetic on stated assumptions, at company level. None is a share price, a price target or a valuation of Akoko, and none is financial advice. Published by Golden Bitcoin, an independent investor publication, not Hamak Strategy investor relations.

The same ounces valued four ways, beside what the company holds and what the market pays for it today. The scale is logarithmic: each gridline is ten times the last.

How gold and bitcoin prices move the backing

Each bar is the treasury plus Akoko at a peer band, under a different price for gold or bitcoin. The dashed line is what the market pays for the whole company today, held still so the bars can be read against it. Slide your own prices first, or pick a stage for the worked scenarios below.

What these scenarios assume

  • The per-ounce bands are scaled in proportion to the gold price, on the assumption that what the market pays for an ounce in the ground moves with the metal. Hold them fixed and gold moves the total far less.
  • The market capitalisation stays at today's £2.3m in every row. The bars show how the backing would compare with what the market pays now, not where the share price would go.
  • The treasury holds what it holds today: 18 BTC and 0.05 kg of gold. No purchases, sales, raises or dilution are assumed, and the Vaultz shares are held at their last quote.
  • Backing is gross: cash and the outstanding loans are not in it, because the company publishes cash only in its periodic accounts, so there is no current figure to net.
  • Peer bands describe other companies. Where Akoko lands depends on its PEA, permits, funding and the market, none of which this page predicts.

Today's figures, with their formulas and sources, are on the dashboard and the investor scoreboard; the same scoreboard's raise section works through what an issue of new shares would do.
