What we collect

Golden Journal form on the Journal page: your email, if you ask to be on the list. Lawful basis: consent. You give it by submitting the form.

The Live community question form: your email and the question you send. Lawful basis: consent. You give it by submitting the form. That form is not a private inbox. Do not send sensitive information through it.

Live poll votes: the option you pick, stored as a Netlify form submission so we can tally the room. Lawful basis: consent. You give it by voting. Your browser may also keep a local marker so the same poll is not counted twice on that device.

We do not run a separate newsletter vendor. Those three forms go to Netlify Forms.

What your browser sends elsewhere

Price tiles call https://api.gold-api.com from your browser when our own live-market path is down. That service can see your IP address. We do not send your email there.

Some pages load X (Twitter) timelines and YouTube videos (youtube-nocookie.com). Those companies see the request and may set their own cookies. See the Cookie Policy.

Who processes it

Netlify hosts the site, the forms, and related storage. Netlify is in the United States, so form data may leave the UK/EEA. We use Netlify because that is how the site is built, not as a one-off transfer.

How long we keep it

Form submissions stay in Netlify until we delete them. Write to us and we delete yours. We do not keep a submission longer than two years.

Poll device markers live in your browser. Clear site data and they go.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion, a restriction, or an export, and you can object to processing that relies on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent the same way you gave it: write to hello@golden-bitcoin.com.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We would rather hear from you first.

Children

This site is not aimed at children. Do not send us data about anyone under 18.
